Liturgy

On Sunday mornings we project our worship guide. This guide contains what we call a liturgy, which is a structure of worship that represents a dialogue between God and us. The centerpiece of all Christian worship is the Triune God, who has come to redeem and restore the world and a people through Jesus Christ. We believe in continuing practices that the church has done in worship since the beginning. We sing songs, recite the creeds, say corporate prayers, listen to preaching and take the sacraments. In a world that is constantly changing, disrupted, and unsettled, we invite you to quiet your heart, slow down with us, and give ear to what God will speak to you.

Worship is formative - the practices we engage on Sunday mornings are meant to shape our lives through the week. We engage God in thanksgiving, confess our sins, pray, read the Scriptures, and see His blessing on our lives. This “liturgy” of Sunday morning becomes the “liturgy” of everyday life.

Music

We are both contemporary and traditional in our worship. As a church we believe that music isn’t first about us, or our preferences; rather, it’s a vehicle for us to give thanks and praise to God. We encourage all our members to use their musical talents, and we strive to worship with music that captures both the depth of our beliefs, and the relevance of the Gospel to our lives. We value music that is singable, orthodox, and beautiful.
